Youthful Giving

Recently we received donations from North Valley Friends Church during their children’s camps. The children were taught the meaning of community service and the plight of homelessness. Each child made a couple of lunch kits and placed a card with encouraging words inside the lunch kits.

It was very touching to see the children so excited to serve their fellow man. At the end of their lesson they were able to talk to our Love INC intern, Lexxs. What they had to say was so encouraging.

One young boy spoke about how he had set up a lemonade stand and then donated all of his profits to Love INC. Another young girl talked about how she wanted to start a club with her friends to gather donations and raise money for people in need. A child’s giving heart is an amazing thing and our homeless ministry is blessed by their generosity and zeal for helping others.

“Train up a child in the way he should go; even when he is old he will not depart from it.” Proverbs 22:6 ESV
