Not too long ago one of our clients “Rachel” called in to tell us how thankful she was. She was so thankful because she had been on our waitlist to have some cleaning done at her house, and a young family had just come to help.
She said that she was so thankful “for having things like these in our community” and that “the family was really nice”. It is in moments like these that we are reminded just how valuable our efforts, and the efforts of our volunteers are. To be able to grant someone a small reprieve from a worry is a valuable gift and one that they are clearly thankful for, even if they do not always articulate it.
“As each has received a gift, use it to serve one another, as good stewards of God’s varied grace:” 1 Peter 4:10
