Dear Church Leaders, Love INC Champions & Neighbors,
The last two years at Love In the Name of Christ Newberg have been a time of tremendous growth and success for this organization and the community we serve. I am so grateful for the opportunity I have had to be a part of seeing the Church mobilized to share the love of Christ with our community in both word and deed in partnership with Love INC.
Today I am writing to let you know that God has called me to assume a similar position at a Christian nonprofit in Tulsa, Oklahoma.
At the end of the month my family and I will take a giant leap of faith and travel across the country to continue our personal mission to see lives and our communities transformed by the gospel of Jesus Christ.
This new opportunity presented itself in a surprising way and the decision to leave Newberg was difficult to make, but we believe God is behind it. My wife and I spent a week praying and fasting for our future about two months ago and shortly thereafter received a phone call from a family member informing us about the position in Tulsa. We interviewed, visited, fell in love with the Tulsa metropolitan area, and subsequently accepted an offer of employment.
While this is a fantastic opportunity for me and my family, it is difficult leaving all of you behind and the wonderful work we do together as a family of God in Newberg.
God has been extraordinarily faithful over the past several years to continue building unity in our Christian community that has resulted in more and more community members experiencing the love of Christ in ways that truly transform.
I am confident that your work will continue because of God’s promise to finish the good work He has begun in us (Philippians 1:6).
On a personal level, I cannot even begin to put into words how much my life has transformed in my five years at Love INC. I had a front row seat to God’s sovereignty at work through His people faithfully serving and following His command to love their neighbor as themselves. I am indebted to each and every one of you for your love, support, and example.
As I transition into a new role serving children and families in Tulsa, I will always be especially thankful for your support through the Board, donors, staff and volunteers. You have helped make Love INC a strong organization that has become an important resource for the lives of many individuals and families experiencing hardship in our community.
The Love INC Board has formed a search committee to find an Executive Director who will continue to serve Christ, local churches, and our community. I am optimistic that Love INC’s future will enable an even greater Kingdom impact on those we all serve.
I look forward to celebrating all of your future successes!
