OUR MISSION
At Love In the Name of Christ, our mission is to connect families in need with local churches and service agencies who can help them. We believe that by serving others and demonstrating the unconditional love that Christ has for us, God will work through us to transform lives in our community.
Love INC is a proven model that networks local churches, church volunteers, and community organizations together to help people in need. Through Love INC, churches and individual Christians are mobilized to work together across denominational lines to provide coordinated help to the poor with practical goods and services. Life skills training and transitional housing programs are set up to address the deeper need of the families that we serve.
OUR CLEARINGHOUSE
Our clearinghouse is located at 209 S Main Street, Newberg, OR 97132. We are open on Tuesday, Wednesday and Thursday from 9am-2pm. After hour appointments are available upon request.
The Clearinghouse is the foundation of Love INC. Love INC receives requests for help, screens the requests for extent of need and legitimacy, and refers the requests to a local church ministry or community agency. Through the Clearinghouse, Love INC identifies gaps in services and resources in the community and helps the church develop ministries to fill the unmet needs in our area without duplication.
OUR PARTNERS
We currently work with 43 churches and 104 service agencies in the Newberg area (Carlton, Dayton, Dundee, Lafayette, Newberg, Sherwood, St. Paul, and Yamhill. Since March of 2004 we have helped over 2,400 families in need.
OUR VOLUNTEERS
At the heart of Love INC are thousands of church volunteers, motivated by the desire to share God’s love and inspired by Jesus’ example of selfless giving. Love INC enables Christians to pool their time, talent, and treasures to create a network of resources and services that respond to concerns in the community. Together, Love INC partners provide tangible assistance, encouragement, and hope. Their programs meet immediate needs, and in many cases, teach people life-skills so that they can become more self-sufficient and God-reliant.
