Volunteers in the Love INC Clearinghouse are always reminded how a little act of kindness can make all the difference for our clients. The Gift Closet, offered through Church of the Nazarene, recently showed one of our clients how God cares for each one of His creations, and reminded Love INC volunteers the importance of the Gap ministries.
A woman recovering from addictions came to Love INC for basic necessities recently. During her intake it was discovered that her birthday would be in a few days, so she was offered a gift from the Gift Closet. This small gesture made all the difference for her. She said no one had acknowledged her birthday in over ten years! She was amazed that Love INC cared enough for her to give her a gift. This seemingly small act showed this woman God’s love in such a profound way.
