Relational Ministry
Love INC has reached a new level or service with our Relational Ministry program that began in April! In addition to existing Love INC ministries, clients can now take either a money management or work ready class, as well as meet with a mentor. Clients participating in Relational Ministry are starting to make monumental strives towards better spending habits and job skills. One such example is ‘Sally,’ a woman on limited income who was coming up short every month on bills. Sally never realized how much money her family was spending every month. After taking the class she was able to assess which payments were essential and which ones could be cut out. Sally follows a strict budget now in which she can save money each month. God brought so many volunteers together to help lift clients out of poverty and we are so blessed to see the results of God’s work.
Clothes Closet
One of the beautiful elements of Love INC is the ability to verify needs. Volunteers who give their time, energy and heart into service like to know their help is going to those who really need the assistance. One of our clothes closets has existed for ten years, and before Love INC opened volunteers were having a hard time verifying need. Some people were selling the clothes for a profit, which disheartened volunteers who wanted to help people in need. With Love INC verifying the need today volunteers are assured that those who come to the clothes closet really need the help. The coordinator of one of the clothes closets recently expressed gratitude for this.
