Pedaling Toward Hope: A Community’s Act of Kindness

When we received a request to assist a single mother and her three children newly relocated to our community, we knew we had to act. Facing the challenges of sudden job loss and housing insecurity, this family was seeking stability and safety. With their resources depleted, they were in need of basic necessities, including transportation for the children to get to school.

Our Bike Ministry at First Presbyterian heard their call for help and quickly responded. With hearts full of compassion, we came together to gather bicycles for the children, providing not just transportation but a means to explore their new neighborhood and build independence.

These moments remind us that kindness and generosity can change lives. Through acts of love, we are building a stronger community and showing that together, we can help families rebuild and thrive.

“Do not forget to do good and to share with others, for with such sacrifices God is pleased.” – Hebrews 13:16
