Celebrating a New Season of Hope

At Love INC Newberg, there are moments that remind everyone why this ministry exists. Harlene’s graduation is one of those sacred milestones – the kind that comes only occasionally and fills hearts with gratitude.

After spending a year in Hesed House, a transitional living ministry of Love INC Newberg, Harlene grew in stability, confidence, and independence. Through prayer, support, and steady encouragement, she prepared for this next step. Today, she has stepped into a new season: a home of her own.

When volunteers arrived at her apartment with housewarming gifts, Harlene greeted them with hugs that said more than words ever could. A basket of fresh muffins wrapped in a homemade towel brought tears to her eyes. As each brand-new household item was shared – kitchen tools, linens, and everyday essentials – she continued to draw attention to God’s goodness and provision. Again and again, she spoke of His perfect timing and the importance of patiently waiting on Him. Joy radiated from her as she talked about the future and all the Lord had done.

Before leaving, everyone gathered to pray over Harlene and her new home, inviting the Lord’s peace, protection, and blessing to fill every room. That night, she would sleep in her own bed, with new sheets and a handmade quilt to keep her warm, wrapped not only in comfort, but in the love of the Body of Christ.
