WHAT WE DO
Our mission is to mobilize the Church to transform lives and our communities In the Name of Christ.
HOW?
We connect people in need with local churches and service agencies who can help them.

Newberg Community Shelter
The mission of the Newberg Community Shelter is to provide women with a safe home and opportunities to achieve stability.
Studies show that lasting life transformation happens when people engage in new relationships that model health and mutual respect. The consistent presence of a varied pool of Christ followers in the lives of the women we serve is powerful when combined with the positive case management Love INC staff provides.
The Newberg Community Shelter provides opportunities for Christians to put feet to their faith and use their God-given gifts, talents and resources to make a difference in the lives of some of the most vulnerable people in our community.
STAY IN THE SHELTER
If you or someone you know could benefit from joining our community of shelter guests, please call (503) 537-3999 to find out if there is an opening.
VOLUNTEER
Volunteer hosts spend the night in the house to provide overnight presence. They enjoy a meal with the women, stimulate conversation and friendship during the evening and then retire around 10PM to sleep in their own private room.
Hosts usually leave at 8AM, but that is very flexible. Training is provided to volunteer hosts and support is always a phone call away.
HOW CAN YOU HELP?
“Because every one of us is suffering from brokenness in our foundational relationships, all of us need ‘poverty alleviation,’ just in different ways. Our perspective should be less about how we are going to fix the materially poor and more about how we can walk together, asking God to fix both of us.”
WHEN HELPING HURTS BY STEVE CORBETT AND BRIAN FIKKERT
Every dollar given is multiplied to serve the Newberg area. In 2015 we produced over $1 million worth of services!
